CAPK Veteran Supportive Services Program
CAPK’s Veteran Supportive Services (VSS) Program helps veterans and their families find stability through housing assistance, case management, and access to essential resources. From emergency shelter to permanent supportive housing, VSS is committed to restoring dignity and supporting long-term self-sufficiency for those who served.
Programs & Community Support
The program offers transitional housing options, including the BRIDGE Program and Service-Intensive Housing, as well as permanent solutions like Covey Cottages and Park 20th (REH). Through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) and outreach efforts, VSS connects veterans to housing, healthcare, and employment resources. Community members can get involved by supporting Covey Cottages or exploring partnership opportunities.
COVEY COTTAGES
Support Covey Cottages:
Covey Cottages is a 12-unit permanent housing project with a community center, located in north Bakersfield. This program is dedicated to providing safe, stable homes for the veterans who have served our country.
We’re currently raising funds to furnish each unit—transforming them from empty rooms into welcoming homes. Your donation will help provide essential items such as bedding, kitchen supplies, and other necessities that make a space truly livable and warm.
