After much consideration, CAPK has made the difficult decision to sunset operations at the Shafter Youth Center. The final day of client services will be August 1, 2025, coinciding with the conclusion of our summer program.

We are deeply proud of the center’s impact on countless young lives and grateful for the dedication of our staff and the unwavering support of the Shafter community. The current Program Administrator of the Shafter Youth Center will continue her work with CAPK in another capacity, carrying forward her commitment to our mission.

This transition allows us to reallocate resources to expand vital food distribution efforts in Shafter and thoughtfully reimagine the future use of the facility to better meet evolving community needs. CAPK remains committed to serving Shafter and is actively exploring sustainable, mission-aligned services for the site.
