Support the Annual Kern County Veterans Stand Down Event
The Kern County Veterans Stand Down Event, hosted by the CAPK Veterans and Supportive Services Program, is an annual event dedicated to connecting veterans with essential community resources and support services. Open to all veterans, the event provides opportunities to meet service providers, access assistance programs, and build connections within the local veteran community.
This year’s Stand Down will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Stramler Park, 3805 Chester Ave., Bakersfield, CA. While no pre-registration is required to attend, attendees must provide documentation of veteran status. Veterans Court registration with CAPK will be available prior to the event, along with transportation options for those in need.
The Kern County Veterans Stand Down is a welcoming space for veterans to gather, learn, and receive the support they deserve.

Volunteers & Vendors Wanted
Kern County Veterans Stand Down would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers and the support of community vendors. We are seeking individuals and groups to assist with event setup, check-in, hospitality, and connecting veterans with available resources throughout the day. Volunteering at this event is a rewarding way to give back to those who have served our country.
We are also inviting service providers and community organizations to participate as vendors. This is an excellent opportunity to share your programs, services, and resources directly with veterans and their families.
Vendor Guidelines:
The Kern County Veterans Stand Down is a Resource Day for all veterans and their dependents, with a special focus on Kern County’s homeless veteran population.
